The Inventory Control Officer will oversee and manage the costs of Capital Work-in-Progress (CWIP) and accessories. He/she is responsible for ensuring that CWIP and accessories are accurately valued at any point in time on the ERP.
He/she will monitor inventory transactions, review, and reconcile inventory general ledgers.
Also, he will gather and analyse inventory data, perform inventory audits and assessments, and produce regular inventory reports and schedules.
Responsibilities
Monitor unit cost of inventory on ERP and investigate abnormal variances from expected unit costs.
Plan and supervise monthly inventory count to ensure that inventory balances on ERP are accurate and align with the physical inventory in the warehouse and other locations.
Post inventory count variances, reconcile inventory profit & loss GL, and send monthly inventory count report.
Review, reconcile and prepare a monthly schedule of charges GL, CWIP GLs, and inventory accessories GL.
Prepare a monthly schedule of CWIP/accessories movement that shows the value of movement for each category of CWIP/accessories which includes inventory purchased and inventory converted to fixed assets.
Prepare cost analysis for each foreign procurement received into the warehouse to ensure that unit cost at the point of receipt on ERP aligns with expected unit cost approved on a purchase order.
Apply charges on ERP to foreign procurement based on review and approval of the Head of Supply Chain.
Resolve inventory issues identified by you, the warehouse manager, or any other staff of the company.
Attend to audit requests in respect of inventory and provide the necessary support that will enhance the timely closure of the year-end audit.
Attend to any other issues as the situation demands while discharging your duties.
