Inventory Accounting Clerk

Location: Lagos Island, Lagos
 

• Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
• Manage day-to-day relationships with our logistics partners and process incoming payments
• Reconciliation of short and overpayments from remittance plus following up with logistics partners for adjustments.
• Files documents such as proof of payment, invoices; maintains the filing system in accordance with established guidelines and update accurate stock levels in Google sheet
• Analyze data to anticipate future needs and then place order to warehouse for new products to replenish stock avoiding insufficiency or excessive surplus at all our distribution centres.
• Communicate, cooperate and report to upper management on stock levels, discrepancies, issues etc.
• Overseeing transportation of our goods from our warehouse location to the  locations of our logistics partners nationwide.
• To regularly undertake the function of stock taking and confirm reconciliation of physical stock with the inventory management tool on a regular basis by working closely with our logistics partners
• Evaluate logistics companies (partners) to achieve cost-effective rates  and maintain trust relationships
• Perform other duties as delegated and assigned by your Line Manager.

Task

• Be responsible for the full information about the stocks in the warehouse
• Conduct stock management system audit and utilization and suggest improvements to the manager
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all inventory transactions and physical movement of materials from receipt to stocking, to distribution.
• Implement corrective actions to maintain stock levels accuracy in the warehouse.

Qualifications:

• A degree in Logistics / supply chain or other related field
• Minimum of HND or BSc.
• Minimum of 2years of experience in logistics
• Knowledge of logistics systems
• Strong attention to details
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be self-driven and proactive.
• Understanding of local transportation issues
• Good analytical skills
• Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Mature, insightful and positive attitude
• Must have strong knowledge of Google Apps (Sheet, Docs e.t.c).

Salary
N700,000 - N1,000,000 annually
