    International Student Recruitment & Conversion Counsellor

    Role Overview

    • We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven International Student Recruitment Counsellor to join our Abuja office.
    • The successful candidate will guide students in selecting suitable international education opportunities and support them throughout the admissions and visa process.
    • This role also involves relationship management with partner institutions, business development, and ensuring an exceptional counselling experience.

    Job Purpose

    • The Student Recruitment & Conversion Counselling Officer is responsible for Attracting and recruiting prospective students,Guiding applicants through admissions and visa processes, Converting enquiries and offers into confirmed enrolments, Achieving monthly revenue and registration targets, Strengthening existing business platforms and establishing new opportunities, Driving online and offline marketing initiatives to increase brand visibility, Ensuring consistent student flow from MOU partners.

    Job Description

    • We are looking for Seasoned and competent English teachers to teach students of diverse age group in our centre.
    • To teach and educate students according to guidelines provided by the respective exam body and the overall guidance of the competent education authority.
    • To teach and educate students according to the educational needs, abilities and attainment potential of individual students entrusted to his/her care by the Managing Director.
    • Assessing, recording and reporting on the development, progress, attainment and behaviour of one’s students;
    • Reviewing and evaluating one’s own teaching and learning strategies, methodologies and programme/s in line with the National Curriculum Framework guidelines;

    Responsibilities
    Student Counselling:

    • Counsel prospective students to identify suitable courses and institutions aligned with their academic and career goals.
    • Ensure counselling is personalized and Conduct consultations (in-person, phone, and virtual).
    • Assist students in shortlisting and submitting strong applications.
    • Guide students through admissions, visa, and pre-departure processes.
    • Maintain ethical, professional, and supportive relationships with students and families.
    • Guide applicants through applications, documentation, interviews, and enrolment steps.
    • Follow up on enquiries, incomplete applications, conditional offers, and issued offers.
    • Address concerns related to tuition, visas, campus life, and accommodation.
    • Actively engage assigned students and manage their conversion journey.
    • Conduct webinars, virtual chats, telephone campaigns, and face-to-face conversion activities.
    • Build rapport and tailor engagement strategies to improve conversion rates.

    Delivering Results:

    • Convert leads into successful applications and enrolments.
    • Identify and develop new recruitment channels (schools, scholarship bodies, corporate partnerships).
    • Use CRM systems to manage leads and track student progress through the pipeline.
    • Meet individual and team-based performance targets.

    Student Recruitment:

    • Provide personalised counselling to prospective students, helping them select suitable programmes aligned with their academic background and career goals.
    • Operationalize RGR’s recruitment and conversion strategy.
    • Represent RGR at recruitment fairs, open days, NYSC events, school visits, and tertiary institution campaigns.
    • Deliver high-quality presentations to students, parents, schools, and corporate organizations.
    • Generate leads from formal and informal sectors in key cities.
    • Monitor and evaluate ROI of recruitment activities.
    • Manage enquiries from website, social media, and recruitment events.
    • Develop content with marketing teams to maximize engagement and conversion.
    • Maintain coordinated recruitment delivery across teams.

    Admissions Support & Data Management;

    • Maintain accurate records in CRM/admissions systems.
    • Track recruitment and conversion metrics.
    • Compile reports for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Monitor KPIs and identify areas for improvement.
    • Ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory policies.

    Marketing, Sales & Business Development:

    • Track recruitment and conversion metrics and contribute to regular reporting.
    • Develop and execute marketing and business development strategies.
    • Coordinate social media campaigns and website traffic initiatives.
    • Establish new business alliances and MOU partnerships.
    • Conduct sensitization activities in new regions.
    • Make presentations to employers, parents, and secondary schools.
    • Create brand awareness across tertiary institutions.
    • Organize sales visits and demonstrate RGR products.
    • Maintain accurate sales records.
    • Meet and exceed monthly revenue and registration targets Support marketing campaigns by providing insights from student interactions and feedback.

    Customer Service Excellence Student Experience & Compliance:

    • Respond to enquiries promptly and professionally.
    • Maintain detailed records of interactions and resolutions.
    • Follow up on student progress and satisfaction.
    • Retain strong product knowledge to educate customers.
    • Ensure a positive and supportive applicant experience.
    • Ensure all recruitment and counselling activities comply with institutional policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Deliver a high standard of customer service, ensuring a positive and supportive applicant experience.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement of recruitment and conversion processes.

    Conversion and Enrollment:

    • Be responsible for all assigned students Conversion Activities: actively engage with prospective students or customers, answering questions, addressing concerns, and providing information to encourage them to enroll or make a purchase
    • Ensure effective and timely Communication & Relationship Building: build rapport with individuals, understanding their needs and motivations to tailor their approach for successful conversion.
    • Efficient Targeted Outreach by working students and or customers, ensuring that recruitment efforts are effective.
    • Data Tracking & Reporting: monitor conversion rates, identify areas for improvement, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Coordination with Teams: collaborate with admissions, marketing, and other relevant teams to ensure a smooth and coordinated enrollment process.

    Customer Service:

    • Listen to the customer queries patiently to resolve issues
    • Maintain records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, and comments, as well as actions taken and query resolution to ensure customer satisfaction
    • Check to ensure that appropriate changes were made to resolve customers' problems
    • Ability to retain product knowledge and help educate the customer
    • Follow up on students’ performance progress.
    • Design student assessment matrix and report.

    Essential Skills and Experience
    Experience and Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from a reputable university.
    • 2–4 years’ experience in study abroad counselling (Canada & USA focus preferred).
    • Strong knowledge of higher education systems, admission requirements, and immigration processes.
    • Experience in a sales or customer service-driven environment with target achievement.
    • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
    • Direct experience in international admissions or recruitment.
    • Experience working with international students.
    • Knowledge of cross-border admissions processes.
    • Certifications in international education or higher education administration.

    • Customer Service officer, Business Development Officers, Recruitment Officers and managers, operations and Branch Manager, Conversion Officers/ Manager, Events Manager, Marketing/Brand Marketing Manager, Human Resource Officer, Managing Director.
    • The post holder will be Reporting to the Managing Director and work closely with all Abuja, Lagos, Port- Harcourt and Benin based staff; this position will focus on recruitment to all RGRs services and partner Universities programs and market the RGR brand in Nigeria across all marketing communications channels.

    Salary & Benefits:

    • Probation (3–6 months): N120,000 – N200,000 / Month
    • Post-Probation: N150,000 – N250,000 / Month (Performance-Based)
