RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement compliance model required for a bank to operate within acceptable standards
Liaise with senior managers to ensure proper implementation of established compliance policies
Review internal Company policies to ensure they align with all requisite regulations
Conduct research to identify new regulations passed by state or federal governing bodies
Monitor client financial activities to ensure they are legal and in compliance with internal and external Company policies
Collaborate with other departments such as the risk management or internal audit unit to forward compliance issues for investigation
Initiate or recommend an investigative process in response to complaints of policy or procedural violation
Develop systems for the handling and resolution of policy violation
Conduct internal audits prior to an external audit to ensure bank policies and operations are up to standard
Monitor the operations and procedures of the different sections of the Company to ensure overall compliance
Carry out assessments to identify areas of potential compliance risks in order to implement preventive/corrective strategies to address compliance issues
Provide reports on a regular basis to executive management and the Board to keep them updated on progress of compliance operation
Organize compliance programs to educate Company staff on recent and already existing compliance requirement
Participate in seminars, conferences, and workshops to improve job knowledge.
Investigate deviations and irregularities.
Review control measures and report accordingly to the Managing Director and the Board.
Internal Control and audit will focus on the traditional accounting functions of financial reporting, tax management and regulatory reporting. The department shall among other things ensure the timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of all required reports. This strategic business unit shall also be responsible for all the information requirements of the Company.

QUALIFICATION
Must have a first degree (Bsc/HND) in Accounting or any related discipline with ACA or ACCA
Possession of CIBN certification will be an added advantage.
Must have undergone certification program of CIBN for Microfinance Bank.
EXPERIENCE
Must have minimum of 8 years post NYSC work experience with 2 years in senior management level in the Risk Management department in a Fintech Company.
