Internal Auditor/ Accountant at First Excelsia

Our client, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Internal Auditor who is also a qualified Accountant.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, execute, and report on internal audit assignments in line with professional standards.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, financial reporting, and risk management systems.
• Identify weaknesses, recommend improvements, and follow up on remediation actions.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
• Provide advisory support to management on financial and operational risks.
• Prepare comprehensive audit reports for senior management and the board.
• Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory authorities where necessary.

Person Specification:

• Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) qualification is mandatory.
• Minimum of five years’ professional experience in internal audit, external audit, or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of internal audit standards, financial reporting, and risk management frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in audit tools and MS Office Suite; familiarity with ERP systems, Quick books Sage300, Advanced excel is an added advantage.
• Experience in FMCG is an added advantage
