Internal Audit Officer at Sunbeth Global Concepts (SGC)

JOB SUMMARY

The require candidate will assist in providing independent, objective assurance and consulting activity that is value adding to sunbeth global concepts in order to improve processes and help the organization to accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Conducts and execute ongoing reviews of organization controls, operating procedures, and compliance with policies and regulations.  
• To plan, organize and carry out the audit of financial and non-financial processes.
• Completes audit work papers by documenting audit tests and findings.
• Assessing and giving independent assurance on sampled areas of financial reporting via through audit or spot checks/compliance audit
• Support in Fraud investigation and resolution to finalize on investigation report
• Prepare and present findings and reports that reflect audit results and document process.
• Prepares special audit and control reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing operating information and trends.
• Conduct assessments to define and analyze possible risks by identifying and forecasting all types of internal and external environmental risk to the business.
• Assist in creating and managing effective action plans in response to audit discoveries and compliance violations.
• Verification and scrutinization of documents in-line with standard expected requirements
• Support in physical verification exercises conducted for various audits.
•  Enquiry and interview of current processes and procedures for development purposes
• Identification of records, controls or activities that need investigation and testing based on the scope of the audit. 
• To acquire and build work experience, learn and develop essential audit skills such as financial analysis and review, teamwork and excellent interpersonal relationships.
• Work collaboratively with business and process owners to implement and monitor remediation efforts that result from internal control assessments, ensuring the effective of compliance.
• Deliver adequate and timely action plans and monitor progress to address and resolve control deficiencies.
• Circulation and review of departmental controls register/checklist ie Lead the process for internal controls. 
• Build in necessary processes around financial and non-financial operations eg access rights, employee exit, bank reconciliation.

JOB EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree/HND in Accounting
• Professional certification like CIA, ICAN, ACA or CISA is required.
• 2  years plus working experience in internal audit, control or risk management
• Nigerian Youth Service Certificate completion
• Computer skills on MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word Document
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Attention to details and excellent report writing skills
• Experience and interest for how technology and systems can support internal control
• Good attitude to work and strong interpersonal skills
• Possibility of permanent relocation within the country.
