Manage the IT Governance team; coordinate the work of team members, facilitate strategy and project meetings, ensure growth and development of team members by coaching and grooming them through daily work experiences and challenges, adequately represent the team in stakeholder engagements, ensure all team members are carried along with the companies executive plans and strategies, etc.
Lead your team in developing and reviewing company policies. Ensuring agreed standard procedures and processes are being followed. Following the life cycle of change in practices as they happen and ensuring relevant process and procedures documents are updated accordingly
Creating corporate awareness of all compliance and regulatory documentations of the company which includes policies, procedures and process documentations. Facilitate orientation programmes for new staff, organize knowledge sharing and development sessions for the company at regular intervals to shed light on new relevant documents or major modifications to existing documents, etc.
As the custodian of all compliance accreditations and certificates; you will ensure we remain compliant with all attained ISO and other relevant accreditations. You will be required to advise the company on new ISO or other relevant accreditations the company should seek to attain or achieve and also clarify the impact, cost and benefits of such
Ensure all senior management reports are developed accurately and shared with relevant stakeholders on time.
Have clarity on all company risks and vulnerabilities with clear plans for managing them within controllable and acceptable levels. Driving and monitoring the execution of all risk management levers across the company on a daily basis.
Must be able to oversee multiple teams working on different (but related) objectives.
You will be required to work closely with the company’s data protection officer (internal and external) to ensure we are secure by design. You will be required to double check (for all projects) that any regulation w.r.t privacy and protection of personal identifiable information is strictly adhered to, and where a gap is observed you will be required to facilitate immediate action and resolution. Alongside the DPO, you may be required to study different regulatory laws and policies and provide inference and translation with recommendations to the company’s senior management and executives
WHAT YOU WILL BE NEEDING:
4-7 years proven experience in a compliance/IT governance role
Lead Implementer certification or Lead Auditor certification or a combination of both on at least 2 different ISOs
Good understanding of data protection laws and data privacy regulations for at least the Nigerian sovereign state. Additional knowledge of such laws and regulations for a foreign state or regions is an added advantage
Must have solid skills in people management, project coordination, objective tracking, time management, task prioritization, and strategy execution. Proof of relevant trainings and or certifications for knowledge and skill development in these areas is required
Experience or any relevant training/certification in project management will be an additional advantage
Brilliant oral and written communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or any related field
