Job Description

• An Intern Graphic Designer assists the design team by supporting the creation of visual content for various digital and print projects. This entry-level role provides valuable hands-on experience, allowing the intern to learn and develop their design skills while contributing to ongoing projects. They work under the guidance of senior designers to gain exposure to design processes, tools, and creative strategies in a professional environment.

Responsibilities
Assisting in Design Creation:

• Support the design team in creating graphics for websites, social media, print materials, presentations, and marketing assets.
• Help with developing design concepts, layouts, and visuals as directed by senior designers.

Image Editing & Retouching:

• Edit and retouch images and graphics for use in projects.
• Ensure images are optimized for various platforms (e.g., social media, print).

Design Research:

• Assist in researching design trends, inspiration, and competitor designs.
• Contribute to brainstorming sessions and provide input on creative direction.

File Preparation:

• Prepare design files for final production, ensuring that all elements are correctly formatted and organized.
• Assist in maintaining and managing design assets and templates.

Learning and Development:

• Work closely with senior designers to learn industry-standard design tools and techniques.
• Attend meetings and participate in design reviews to gain feedback on work.

Design Revisions:

• Assist with making revisions to designs based on feedback from clients or team members.
• Ensure the revisions align with the company’s brand guidelines and project objectives.

Skills / Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of proven experience.
• Must live in Lekki-Ajah axis

Technical Skills:

• Basic proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Knowledge of web design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch) is a plus.
• Familiarity with typography, color theory, and composition.

Creativity:

• A strong creative mindset with a passion for design.
• Ability to contribute ideas and experiment with design concepts.

Attention to Detail:

• High level of attention to detail, ensuring designs are polished and meet project specifications.
• Ability to accurately follow design guidelines and instructions.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and assist in presenting ideas.
