The Insulation Supervisor will be supporting planning and be responsible for supervising insulation activities to ensure the protection of piping, equipment, and structures from heat loss, corrosion, and environmental exposure.
This role involves overseeing insulation material selection, application techniques, quality assurance, and compliance with approved work packs.
The incumbent will coordinate with contractors and field crews to ensure timely work execution inclusive of SIMOPs related challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct daily toolbox meetings and site briefings to align work priorities.
Oversee installation of hot and cold insulation systems, cladding, and fireproofing across assigned work locations
Ensure compliance with insulation specifications, thickness calculations, and application methods following approved work packs.
Monitor surface preparation, material cutting, fitting, and securing of insulation systems and ensure proper application of sealants, vapor barriers, and jacketing materials
Identify defects, damages, or improper installations and implement corrective actions.
Ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of insulation materials (e.g., mineral wool, calcium silicate, polyurethane foam, perlite, aerogel).
Supervise contractor personnel and insulation crews, ensuring adherence to project schedules.
Track and report material usage, wastage, and reordering requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
HND or bachelor's degree in engineering, or Sciences.
3 years of experience in industrial insulation, thermal protection, and field supervision within LNG, oil & gas, or petrochemical industries.
In-depth knowledge of insulation materials and application methods.
Familiarity with international insulation standards
Proficiency in Microsoft Office for reports generation
