Installation & Commissioning Engineer at First Electric Power and Automation Services Limited

First Electric (www.firstelectricco.com) is looking for an Installation & Commissioning Engineer for its solar business. This individual will be responsible for execution of all aspects of equipment delivery, installation and commissioning in line with company cost, time and quality objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform every electrical & mechanical work required to install the solar panels, inverter, batteries and accessories Including proper grounding, controls and all testing required.
• Conduct engineering site audits to collect structural, electrical, and related site information for use in the design of solar power systems.
• Troubleshoot issues related to installation & provide after-sales support to customers.
• Enlighten clients on the importance of solar energy and how to safely use solar equipment.
• Identify business opportunities for the company.
• Plan and develop operation and maintenance program for clients and internal use.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested

Qualification:

• BSc or HND in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Physics and Electronics or related technical field.
• Minimum of 2 years proven work experience in Renewable Energy Industry.
• Excellent Electronics troubleshooting and resolution knowledge.
• Must be self-motivated, with an ability to balance multiple projects.
• Knowledge of PV system components, wiring practices, layout, low voltage AC design, medium voltage design, relay protection, metering, utility interconnection requirements etc.
• Works systematically, use time efficiently; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines without direct supervision, work to deadlines.
• Ability to respond to client issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Strong multi-tasking, organization and prioritization skills.
