The Company is seeking accomplished professional to join its Board of Directors as an Independent Non-Executive Director (INED).
Roles & Responsibilities
Offer independent judgement and provide feedback on the proposals and actions of Management and Executive Directors.
Provide oversight and independent perspectives on the implementation of the Financial Holding Company 's strategy, vision, and policies.
Advise the Board on corporate governance best practices, regulatory compliance, and ethical business standards.
Provide independent oversight and objective guidance on strategic and operational matters.
Review and evaluate the firm's operational and financial performance to ensure alignment with organisational goals and objectives.
Chair the following Board Committees: Board Audit Committee, Board Nomination & Governance Committee, Board Remuneration Committee.
Support the Board in identifying, assessing, and monitoring key business risks and the effectiveness of internal control systems.
Contribute to the development and review of strategic plans, policies, and business initiatives.
Offer professional insights and recommendations to improve operational efficiency, financial sustainability, and overall organisational performance.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in any discipline or equivalent professional qualification.
A minimum of fifteen (15) years' experience in Senior Executive Management positions within the financial services industry in Africa and/or internationally.
Membership of Chartered Institute of Directors or any other relevant and recognized professional institute
Demonstrable board-level experience in a similar or comparable role.
Strong knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment governing financial services; digital banking and information technology expertise will be highly regarded.
High-level understanding of finance, financial reporting, and risk management.
