    HVAC Technician

    Responsibilities
    Performing and carrying out autonomously all necessary installation, maintenance and repairs of HVAC equipment and ensuring that equipment always remains in working order. This includes the following tasks:

    • Regular thorough cleaning of AC indoor and outdoor units, and ventilation equipment
    • Following the schedule and carrying out preventive and curative maintenance works for the equipment according to the MSF and/or manufacturer's protocols, manuals, and recommendations.
    • Reporting and logging fault, breaks or any other issue related to HVAC equipment to his/her supervisor and conducting repairs when appropriate. If maintenance work requires further assistance, documentation, or additional tools, this shall be requested to and provided by his/her supervisor.
    • Managing the stock of consumable items and spare parts, carrying out physical stock inventories, executing orders necessary for renewing stock, avoiding any shortage
    • Responsible for the equipment and tools, checking they are correctly and safely used, maintaining, and renewing them when necessary, and keeping the inventory updated.
    • Ensuring the medical team is aware of the maintenance interventions ahead of time and supporting them to facilitate access to the HVAC equipment.
    • Ensuring that all record sheets and books related to maintenance are always completed (including date of intervention, replaced parts, problems, and solutions) and preparing needed reports before and after any repair or required maintenance.
    • Keeping working area clean and tidy.
    • Immediately informing the line manager of any problems that arise in the course of the work, particularly with regard to damage, loss, theft or attempted break-ins
    • Working in collaboration with other specialized technicians and workers, if necessary, or managing a small team of workers.
    • Identifying, defining, and implementing solutions and strategies that reduce the environmental footprint of the HVAC installations in the project. These strategies englobe not only technical solutions but also how the HVAC installations are used, maintained, and managed. The main objective of reducing the environmental footprint entails energy efficiency, reducing the carbon dioxide emissions, reducing refrigerant gas emissions, a proper waste management and the use of sustainable and adapted solutions according to the context.

    Requirements

    • Candidates should possess an SSCE / GCE / NECO qualification with 2 years xperience.
