HSE Manager at Ascentech Services Limited

JOB DUTIES

• Create and implement workplace health and safety plans and procedures
• Oversee all operations, watching for practices and processes that violate safety policies or create a dangerous situation, taking measures necessary to create a safe working environment
• Evaluate health and safety practice and procedures for risk assessment and following legal guidelines
• Conduct accident prevention training and health and safety training
• Monitor employee conformity to safety laws and policies
• Investigate accidents and incidents to find cause and take prevention measures for further incidents
• Research safety policies that are mandated by state and federal government, as well as optional policies adopted by other businesses, analyzing whether they would be beneficial to implement in our business
• Suggest solutions, improvements and prevention steps for safety issues
• Inspect machinery and facilities on a daily basis to ensure they are in proper working order and no safety hazards are endangering any employees
• Review safety reports from other managers, analyzing which changes will be the most beneficial and how improvements can be made

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor Degree in Science/Engineering or equivalent with additional professional qualifications in HSE and Fire & Safety Management Systems.
• 5 or above years’ experience in Health, Safety and Environment in any manufacturing company.
• ISO Certified.
• Working knowledge in Health, Safety and Environment Management Systems, Environmental Discharges, Incident Command System, Incident
