Hostel Mistress at TAAS College

Job Summary

• TAAS Group of Schools, Ibadan is seeking a dedicated, disciplined, and experienced Hostel Mistress to oversee the welfare, safety, discipline, and daily activities of students residing in the school hostel.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise students within the hostel and ensure their safety and well-being.
• Enforce hostel rules, regulations, and disciplinary standards.
• Monitor students' academic, social, and emotional welfare.
• Coordinate hostel activities and daily routines.
• Ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and proper maintenance of hostel facilities.
• Liaise with parents, school management, and other relevant staff regarding student welfare matters.
• Maintain hostel records, incident reports, and attendance registers.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies and student concerns.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4–7 years' experience in hostel administration, student welfare management, or a related role.
• Possession of a minimum of NCE, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Education, Social  Sciences, Psychology, Guidance & Counselling, or any related field.
• Strong leadership, supervisory, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain discipline while fostering a caring and supportive environment for students.
• Good communication and conflict-resolution skills.
• High level of integrity, responsibility, and commitment to child safeguarding.
• Ability to supervise hostel routines, student welfare, health, hygiene, and security.
• Must be organized and capable of keeping accurate records and reports.
• Applicants must reside in Ibadan or locations within close proximity to Ibadan.
