    Head, Treasury

    Our client is an affiliate of a leading multinational corporation in the Consumer Electronics and Home Appliances industry with an outstanding line of cutting-edge products and premium services enjoyed around the world.     Reports to: Chief Financial Officer

    Job Objectives and Primary Responsibilities

    The Head, Treasury will be held accountable for planning, organizing, and controlling cash assets to achieve the financial objectives of the organization. The Head, of Treasury will assist the CFO to maximize returns on cash and investments, minimize financial/capital costs and raise funds when necessary for the company’s ventures while providing effective supervision for Treasury Officers (Domestic and Foreign Operations), Accounts Payable and Receivables Officer(s) and Cashier(s). Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Develop and implement strategies to anticipate, manage and meet the company’s short-, medium- and long-term financing needs at a reasonable cost in line with organisational objectives
    • Define processes and frameworks for managing liquidity and the associated risks
    • Ensure optimal capital expenditure and working capital management
    • Establish processes to support the identification of financial risk exposures and the undertaking of appropriate foreign exchange and interest rate hedging decisions
    • Coordinate the management and review of the company’s banking operations, including analysis of banking and financing services proposals and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) compliance
    • Oversee the development of periodic cash forecast and cash flow analysis
    • Periodically reconcile the company’s cashbook to bank statement while ensure accurate and proactive reporting of cash and liquidity positions
    • Administer cash receipts, disbursements, petty cash/float systems in line with established policies
    • Support the CFO in the design of the company’s financial growth plan and advise management on financial matters as well as the impact of macroeconomic developments and policy.
    • Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Chief Financial Officer

    Education/ Professional Qualification:

    • Bachelor’s degree (second class lower) or its equivalent in accounting or any finance related
    • Mandatory professional qualifications (i.e., ACA or ACCA, CTP, CPA and CFA)

    Work Experience, Skills and Competencies:

    • Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in similar role
    • Good knowledge of the consumer electronics industry, including trends and developments in local and global Treasury practices.
      • Good knowledge of cash management principles, banking systems and processes
      • Good understanding of local and international accounting standards and practices
      • Good understanding of treasury and finance-related concepts and applications.
      • Strong understanding of financial and capital markets as well as financial and debt instruments
      • Proficiency in the management of treasury and the use of applicable accounting/treasury packages and MS Office
      • Good interpersonal and negotiation skills
      • High level of attention to detail with ability to multi-task and function effectively under pressure
      • High sense of confidentiality, ethics, responsibility, dependability, and accountability
      • Excellent presentation, communication and relationship management skills
