About the Role
The Head, Quality Assurance & Testing Centre ensures Polaris Bank's software ships reliably, performs under load, and is free of critical defects and security vulnerabilities before reaching production. This role directs four testing disciplines — Functional, Automated, Performance, and Security Testing — through specialist leads and engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Functional Testing Oversight
- Ensure comprehensive functional, regression, and system integration testing across all releases
- Set test case design and defect tracking standards
Automated Testing Oversight
- Direct the build-out and maintenance of test automation frameworks integrated into CI/CD pipelines
- Drive toward the bank's target automation coverage to enable faster, safer release cycles
Performance Testing Oversight
- Ensure systems are validated for performance, scalability, and load capacity before major releases
- Oversee performance monitoring practices that catch degradation before it affects customers
Security Testing Oversight
- Ensure security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing are performed on all releases
- Escalate and track remediation of identified vulnerabilities in coordination with security architecture and engineering teams
Core Competencies
- Test strategy and quality leadership across manual, automated, performance, and security testing disciplines
- CI/CD-integrated automation practices
- Working knowledge of application security testing methodology (OWASP)
- Cross-functional coordination with engineering, architecture, and security teams
Familiarity With Tools (used by the function's teams)

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; ISTQB or equivalent certification an advantage
- Demonstrated track record leading QA/testing functions in a fast-release software environment, ideally banking or fintech
