    Head, Procurement and Logistics

    Job Description

    Strategic Planning:

    • Develop and implement procurement and logistics strategies aligned with organizational goals.
    • Collaborate with senior management to integrate procurement and logistics plans into overall business strategies.

    Procurement Management:

    • Lead the procurement team in sourcing and selecting suppliers for goods and services. Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve favorable agreements.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors.

    Logistics and Supply Chain:

    • Oversee end-to-end logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
    • Optimize supply chain processes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics and implement improvements.

    Budget Management:

    • Develop and manage budgets for procurement and logistics activities.
    • Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality and efficiency.

    Compliance and Risk Management:

    • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
    • Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain and procurement processes.

    Team Leadership:

    • Provide leadership and direction to the procurement and logistics teams.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
    • Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.

    Supplier Relationship Management:

    • Evaluate supplier performance and implement improvement strategies.
    • Conduct regular supplier assessments to ensure adherence to quality and service standards.

    Continuous Improvement:

    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to enhance operational efficiency.

    Qualifications

    • Must have bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
    • Proven experience in procurement and logistics management, with a minimum of 7 years in a leadership role.
    • Strong negotiation, contract management, and strategic planning skills.
    • In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to make informed decisions in a fast- paced and dynamic environment.
    • Familiarity with procurement software and ERP systems
    • Solid understanding of Oil and Gas tendering requirements
    • Must be able to multi-task and simultaneously handle important tasks.
    • Proficiency in inventory management, Cost control and budgeting
    • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, fostering Positive and collaborative work Environment
