    Head of Technical

    About the job

    • The Head of Technical will lead and oversee all technical operations, ensuring high-quality delivery of products/services, continuous improvement of systems and processes, and alignment with organizational goals.
    • This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership and hands-on technical expertise.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage the technical team (engineers, technicians, and specialists).
    • Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of technical projects and systems.
    • Develop and enforce technical standards, processes, and best practices.
    • Monitor and ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical operations with business goals.
    • Manage maintenance and upgrade of equipment, machinery, or technical tools.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve high-level technical issues.
    • Analyze project data and performance to drive innovation and efficiency.
    • Mentor and train technical staff to build a high-performing team.
    • Recommend and manage technical budgets, tools, and resources. and manage the technical team (engineers, technicians, and specialists).

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical) Master's is an added advantage.
    • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a technical/engineering leadership role.
    • Strong understanding of [insert industry-specific knowledge, e.g., solar systems, manufacturing machinery, auto diagnostics].
    • Proven ability to lead technical teams and deliver complex projects.
    • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skills.
    • Strong knowledge of industry standards, safety protocols, and technical regulations.
