    Head of Primary

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking an experienced Head of Primary with international exposure and expertise in delivering high-quality education based on the British curriculum. The ideal candidate will lead and manage the primary school division, overseeing both the academic and operational activities to ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and student development. The Head of Primary will be responsible for fostering an environment of excellence, supporting staff development, and ensuring the overall well-being and success of students.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Leadership & Management: Lead, inspire, and manage the primary school team to ensure excellent teaching and learning aligned with the British curriculum. Foster a collaborative environment that promotes professional growth and academic excellence.
    • Curriculum & Instruction: Oversee the planning, development, and implementation of a rigorous, age-appropriate curriculum based on the British curriculum. Ensure high standards of teaching and learning are maintained across all subject areas.
    • Student Development & Academic Outcomes: Monitor the academic progress and personal development of students, ensuring they meet key milestones and achieve their potential. Implement strategies for differentiated learning and providing additional support where needed.
    • Staff Development & Training: Provide continuous professional development opportunities for teachers and support staff, ensuring they are up-to-date with best practices in teaching, child development, and curriculum delivery.
    • Parent & Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on student progress and encouraging their involvement in their children’s education. Organize and participate in parent-teacher conferences and school events.
    • Assessment & Reporting: Oversee assessment strategies, ensuring that both formative and summative assessments are carried out regularly. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of student progress to parents and other stakeholders.
    • Safeguarding & Compliance: Ensure the primary school complies with relevant health, safety, and safeguarding regulations. Uphold the school’s safeguarding policies to ensure a safe and secure learning environment for all students.
    • Operational Management: Manage the day-to-day operations of the primary school, including staff scheduling, classroom organization, and resource management. Ensure a well-organized, stimulating, and safe environment for students and staff.

    Required Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Primary Education, or a related field.
    • International exposure or experience working in international schools or with students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
    • Experience with the British curriculum is a must, particularly with expertise in delivering primary education aligned with British educational standards.
    • A minimum of 7-10 years of teaching experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership role in a primary school setting.
    • Proven experience in curriculum development, implementation, and assessment in a primary school environment.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with staff, students, parents, and the wider school community.
    • Ability to lead and manage staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work culture.
    • Knowledge of current educational trends, regulations, and best practices in primary education.

    • Child-Centered Approach: A commitment to the holistic development of students, ensuring that the educational, emotional, and social needs of children are met.
    • Cultural Sensitivity & Awareness: Extensive international experience and the ability to create an inclusive, respectful, and nurturing environment for students from diverse backgrounds.
