Head of Operations at Tarmac Security Limited

Role Overview:

• The Head of Operations will oversee all security operations, ensuring seamless service delivery, operational compliance, and strategic growth. The successful candidate will lead a team of supervisors and field personnel while maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership:

• Plan, coordinate, and manage security operations across all client sites.
• Oversee the deployment and performance of security guards.
• Ensure operational compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Resource Management:

• Manage the procurement and maintenance of operational equipment, vehicles, and uniforms.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely sourcing of supplies.

Client Engagement:

• Conduct site inspections for new clients and recommend appropriate security measures.
• Respond promptly to client concerns and ensure excellent service delivery.

Team Oversight:

• Lead, train, and evaluate field supervisors and guards to ensure peak performance.
• Schedule and oversee periodic guard rotations and ensure no vacant beats.

Incident Response and Reporting:

• Investigate and manage incidents, including theft and other security breaches.
• Prepare and submit detailed reports to the Managing Director on operations, challenges, and solutions.

Strategic Development:

• Develop and implement strategies to optimize operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with the finance and administrative teams to align operations with budgetary goals.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior operations role, preferably in the security industry.
• Proven track record in managing large teams and multiple client accounts.
• Strong knowledge of security protocols, logistics, and risk management.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and make swift decisions during emergencies.
• Residency Requirement: Applicants must have been residents of one of the following states for at least 5 years: Benue State, Kogi State, Nasarawa State, Kwara State, or the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
