The Head of Operations will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, fostering a culture of collaboration and efficiency, and ensuring the seamless execution of projects.
Reporting directly to the MD, this position requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills, a passion for innovation, and a deep understanding of the architectural and construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership: Lead and oversee all operational aspects of the firm, including resource allocation, workflow management, and process improvement initiatives.
Team Management: Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to department heads and project managers where needed to optimize team performance and enhance project delivery.
Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the MD to develop and implement strategic plans, goals, and objectives to drive business growth and profitability.
Financial Management: Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to ensure optimal resource allocation and cost-effective project execution.
Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners to ensure client satisfaction and drive business development opportunities.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays, cost overruns, and other operational challenges.
Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures and standards to uphold the firm's reputation for delivering high-quality designs and services.
Compliance and Regulation: Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, codes, and standards to uphold legal and ethical standards.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, business administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
Minimum of 8 10 years of experience in operations with experience in a leadership role within the architectural or construction industry.
Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects and multidisciplinary teams.
Understanding of architectural design principles, urban planning concepts, and project management methodologies is an added advantage.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of relevant industry regulations, codes, and standards.
