    Head of Operations

    Location: Ijebu Waterside, Ogun
    Employment Type: Full-time

    Job Purpose

    • The Head of Operation will be responsible for preparing necessary accounting reports, overseeing the operations of the Bank, customer service and implementing technological solutions.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Preparing Monthly returns and Monthly Reconciliation Statement
    • Preparing Monthly Management Account and Annual Management Account for External Auditors and Regulators
    • Preparing Monthly and quarterly operational reports to the Board and Controlling the Operations department of the bank
    • Skilled in computer operations
    • Should be Accountable with the ability to coordinate, organise and take proactive decision making

    Reports:
    Included but not limited to:

    • Monthly Returns and Reconciliation Statement
    • Monthly/Annual Management Account for External Auditors and Regulators
    • Quarterly/Monthly operational reports

    Education and Experience

    • HND / B.Sc from any recognised institution with high level integrity
    • 3 years work experience.
    • Ability to prepare Monthly Returns
    • Ability to prepare Monthly Reconciliation Statement
    • Working knowledge and experience in preparing Monthly Management Account and Annual Management Account for External Auditors and Regulators
    • Preparing Monthly and quarterly operational reports to the Board and Controlling the Operations department of the Bank
    • Proven skill in computer operations
    • Between the ages of 30 - 40 years
    • Minimum of at least three to five years’ experience running the operations of a Microfinance Bank or Commercial Bank
    • Possession of Microfinance Bank Certification (MCP) will be an added

    Key Competencies:

    • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
    • Experience with preparing necessary accounts
    • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
    • Excellent accounting software use and administrative skills
    • Ability to multitask.
    • Good judgment to make financial decisions.
    • Ability to work in a team setting and excel.
