    Head of Online

    What You Will Be Doing:

    Strategy Execution:

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with the overall business objectives and drives customer acquisition and retention.
    • Ensure the needs of the customer are fully understood throughout the business, and that our strategy aligns to the biggest opportunities
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive local product roadmap for the online platform.
    • Design and analyse the market competition landscape for the online business and platform.
    • Ownership of marketing budget and the ROI associated with the marketing spend as per determined deliverables and targets.
    • Create marketing segmentations to grow the usage of our products' portfolio by identifying target audiences across the country, and develop marketing strategies, plans and activities that target these segments for growth.
    • Own the generosity plans, ensuring our promotional spend is optimised across all verticals – Sportsbook, Virtuals and Casino
    • Working alongside the Group Marketing team, devise a performance marketing strategy that aligns to the overall marketing strategy and drives new acquisition
    • Develop the BetKing brand positioning and ensure that it lives through all areas of the customer experience
    • Develop and implement a content marketing strategy that drives engagement and loyalty among our customers.

    Operational Delivery

    • Responsible for the day-to-day planning and execution of all marketing activities, including setting goals for all marketing units and monitoring their achievement.
    • Align the organization internally around marketing, brand, and customer objectives
    • Manage annual budgeting and forecasting exercises.
    • Rigorously monitor marketing performance against approved budgets and put measures in place to address variances; Continuously identify areas for improved efficiency.
    • Ensure product needs to build market parity are effectively communicated to internal stakeholders.
    • Monitor and report on the performance of marketing campaigns and initiatives on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis, and ensure that these are designed, developed, and launched within the given timeframes.
    • Ensure consistent brand messaging across the organization to optimize ROI and brand health.
    • Collaborate with other departments, including product development and customer support to ensure a customer first approach is aligned and consistent across all aspects of the business.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including affiliates, media partners, and influencers.
    • Act as the chief brand ambassador and face of the company and positively portray and market the brand across different channels and audiences.
    • When needed, work with marketing agencies and contractors to design, and implement marketing campaigns.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws governing online sports betting marketing activities.

    Benchmarking

    • Constantly scan the market to identify, share and embed leading practices within Kingmakers, helping to build a best-in-class marketing function and maintain market relevance.
    • Identify key segments to target, including rationale/strategic objectives, and use customer insights to perform cluster analysis; classifying customers into segments based on spending, behavior, needs and attitudes.
    • Identify key products and product features that will differentiate our offering.
    • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and develop strategies to stay ahead of the competition.

    People Management

    • Develop a high performing team by embedding formal performance development and informal coaching.
    • Determine and analyze development needs for the team and ensure that identified training requirements are budgeted for and executed.
    • Create effective workforce and recruitment demand plans to ensure that current and future business requirements are met.
    • Provide regular constructive feedback on the performance of individual team members.

    What You Need for This Role:

    • Relevant years of experience in marketing roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to demonstrate products that engage and inspire; be able to build and manage strong relationships with their team, cross-functional colleagues, and external partners. Inspirational to your team and partners
    • Extensive experience setting strategic direction and project managing complex go-to-market campaigns that require input and execution from various cross-functional teams.
    • A data-focused individual with the ability to roll up your sleeves, pull and analyse data, and gain actionable insights from the data.
    • User-focused and product-driven: strong understanding of product, tech, and platform
    • Continuous learning mindset with a passion for acquiring new skills, knowledge, and ideas.
    • Hyper-growth start-up experience is a strong plus.
