Head of MBA Programmes at Lagos Business School

Lagos Business School (LBS) is seeking a visionary and strategic professional to serve as the Head of MBA Programme Management. This full-time leadership role is responsible for the strategic oversight, academic planning, and quality assurance of all MBA programmes at LBS. The role aligns with the School’s mission of developing responsible leaders and requires a passion for academic excellence, stakeholder satisfaction, and operational effectiveness across the MBA suite.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

The ideal candidate will possess a postgraduate degree, with an MBA or PhD strongly preferred. A minimum of ten years’ post-graduate work experience is required, with significant exposure to academic management or executive education in reputable institutions. The candidate must demonstrate a strong track record of academic and operational success, with proven ability to manage complex educational programmes and multidisciplinary teams. The role requires proficiency in digital productivity tools, strong emotional intelligence, and exceptional communication and leadership skills.

DUTIES:

The Head of MBA Programme Management will provide vision-driven leadership for all MBA formats, ensuring strategic alignment with LBS’s academic standards and objectives. Responsibilities include planning, execution, and periodic review of programme curricula to maintain global relevance and learner impact. The successful candidate will collaborate with senior academic leaders to drive innovation, ensure the optimal allocation of faculty and resource persons, and oversee faculty appointments for key academic activities. The role also involves managing dissertation supervision, academic policies, student disciplinary processes, and fostering a high-touch student experience across all MBA formats. The candidate will lead recruitment strategy, admissions funnel optimization, and market alignment to meet enrollment and revenue targets. This position supervises programme managers and enrollment officers and will generate strategic reports and insights into leadership decision-making.

The Head of MBA Programme Management will also support strategic projects in academic innovation, partnerships, and quality enhancement as delegated by the Dean or Academic Director.

Short-listed candidates will be invited to prepare and present their strategic vision for enhancing the quality, market relevance, and global impact of LBS’s MBA programmes over the next five years at a seminar attended by members of the University.
