    Head of Human Resources

    Job Summary

    • To lead and evolve the people and organisational strategy that enables the company to thrive in a fast-changing world of work.
    • The role provides strategic partnership to the business by shaping workforce capability, culture, and systems that drive innovation, accountability, and performance excellence.
    • This position is the anchor for organisational effectiveness, operational excellence, employee experience, leadership enablement, and strategic foresight.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Business Responsibilities

    • Serve as a strategic business partner to the Managing Director and Leadership Team, aligning people priorities with business goals and growth strategies.
    • Translate business objectives into HR and organisational strategies that strengthen capability, agility, and performance.
    • Lead workforce planning and talent forecasting to ensure the right people, skills, and structure are in place for present and future needs.
    • Reimagine learning and development through digital tools, knowledge sharing, and cross-functional collaboration to develop the team with the right skills and competence.
    • Drive change management initiatives that support business transformation and employee adaptability.
    • Oversee the HR and Admin budget, ensuring financial discipline, cost efficiency, and value creation.
    • Strengthen the firm’s employer brand through authentic storytelling, culture visibility, and digital engagement.
    • Manage legal and regulatory matters, ensuring risk management and compliance in employment practices, contracts, and policies.
    • Maintain full statutory compliance on PAYE, Group Life, Group Personal Accident (GPA), ITF, NSITF, and HMO and EHS, ensuring timely filings and zero business interruptions.
    • Champion a data-informed HR function that continuously improves systems, employee experience, and business alignment.
    • Drive daily Office readiness through efficient Facility Management & Control
    • Provide resourcefulness through Business Assets Management & Insurance – Asset Management.

    People

    • Lead a future-ready talent strategy that integrates recruitment, learning, succession planning, and leadership development.
    • Build a strong leadership pipeline by enabling managers to lead with empathy, accountability, and data-driven insight.
    • Foster a culture of performance and well-being, ensuring that engagement, recognition, and inclusivity are embedded in everyday practice.
    • Drive change management initiatives that support business transformation and employee adaptability.
    • Oversee internal communications, ensuring transparency, alignment, and an empowered workforce voice.
    • Lead diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts that strengthen the company’s social and cultural capital.
    • Drive strong employee engagement sessions like Town Hall Meetings and awareness sessions for culture.
    • Drive the training and development of the workforce.

    Process Responsibilities

    • Design and implement HR and Admin policies that are adaptive, human-centered, and technology-enabled.
    • Ensure process efficiency through automation of HR operations (onboarding, performance, payroll, and analytics dashboards).
    • Develop and maintain frameworks for performance management that are outcomes-based and growth-oriented.
    • Implement efficient systems for facility management, resource allocation, and administrative support.
    • Use metrics and analytics to measure process efficiency, employee engagement, and HR service impact.
    • Continuously benchmark practices against best-in-class standards and the evolving future of work.
    • Ensure all HR and Admin processes contribute to a seamless employee journey from hire to exit and alumni engagement.
    • Oversee and drive end-to-end travel logistics, including visa processing and accommodation, to ensure seamless mobilization of project teams.

    Administrative & Operational Excellence

    • Drive seamless day-to-day office functions, ensuring a high-standard work environment that promotes productivity and safety for the employees.
    • Oversee the procurement and inventory control of office supplies and consumables, implementing cost-effective systems to prevent stock-outs and minimize waste.
    • Manage kitchenette operations to reflect the company’s culture of care.
    • Direct the maintenance, scheduling, and optimal utilization of the company pool car(s), ensuring accountability, vehicle safety, and efficient logistical support for the team.
    • Act as the primary lead for external service providers (security, cleaning, maintenance, utilities), managing SLAs and performance reviews to ensure service quality and value for money.
    • Oversee the upkeep of physical infrastructure and office assets, ensuring timely repairs, scheduled maintenance, and a workspace that is fully compliant with health and safety standards.

    Key Performance Indicators

    • Alignment of people strategy with business outcomes.
    • Improved employee engagement, retention, and leadership effectiveness.
    • Efficiency in HR operations and process automation.
    • Consistency and impact of corporate messaging across all internal and external channels.
    • Enhanced employer brand visibility and digital presence.
    • Compliance and zero legal exposure.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • B.Sc. in Human Resource Management or equivalent qualification(s).
    • M.Sc./MBA is an added advantage.
    • Certified HR professional (e.g., CIPM, SHRM, CIPD) is a key requirement.
    • Minimum of 7 years cognate experience in Human Resources Management, and must have had 3 years of progressive experience in a leadership role.
