Role Summary

• The Head of Engineering will oversee engineering teams and ensure systems are secure, scalable, highly available, and compliant, while enabling rapid product innovation.
• This role collaborates closely with the CTO to bridge business strategy, product delivery, and engineering execution, making technology a competitive advantage.

• Platform architecture (core transaction processing, payments, APIs, microservices)
• Agile delivery, DevOps & SRE practices
• Security, risk & regulatory compliance (PCIDSS, NDPR/GDPR, Open Banking, CBN)
• Team building, performance management & talent development
• Vendor, cost & infrastructure optimization

Required Experience

• 7+ years in software engineering, 3+ years in engineering management
• Strong FinTech / Banking / Payments background
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), CI/CD & DevOps
• Handson expertise in Microservices, REST APIs, React, Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, Postgres
• Proven ability to scale highvolume, realtime transaction systems.
