- Align the technology roadmap and the Group IT’s strategies with business imperatives
- Oversee the EA roadmap and drive execution of transformational technology initiatives

Competence Requirements
- Accountable for the development and maintenance of the technology strategy under the guidance of the CTO
- Develop overall technology architectural direction for the IT organization’s technology portfolio
- Define target state blueprints for business, application and technology architecture
- Develop and implement IT roadmap, architectural principles, standards, policies and solution governance
- Guide the translation of business strategy into technology strategy &
- ensure that new capabilities required by clients are supported
- Define EA roadmap and drive execution of transformational technology initiatives
- Oversee the EA review process
- Oversee documentation and maintenance of enterprise architecture(s)Drive smarter technology investments by driving changes in application, infrastructure, process and IT tools architecture.
- Assess organisational, resource and budgetary requirements for planned IT initiatives
- IT Strategic roadmap exists and has been formally released within the last 12 months
- Updated Technology strategy document
- All major initiatives have been assessed against the IT roadmap
- Currency of the EA roadmap
- Existence of signed off IT budget and formal review cycle of IT budget
- Updated EA roadmap released on schedule
- % of new projects that comply with EA standards
- Strong knowledge of architecture frameworks, concepts and best practices
- Strong strategic planning capabilities
- Clear vision and understanding of technology enablers to support business and IT transformation
- Good Industry knowledge and ability to understand competitor or future competitor's strategies and product roadmaps
- Understanding of industry business models / architecture
- Deep knowledge in architecture development / management
- Proven leadership and management skills
- Experience in architecting & designing IT solutions
- Experience in technology strategy
- Broad knowledge of development platforms, languages and technologies
- Strong analytical / planning skills
- Strong communication skills (oral and written)
- Plan budgets to ensure alignment with strategic initiatives/objectives Ensure that the organisation has a systematic approach toward examining new technologies and utilizing core IT assets
- Interface and collaborate with corporate strategic planning functions and key stakeholders
- Serve as point of escalation, review and approval for key issues and
- decisions for all architecture domains
- Perform solution architecture design review as may be required
- Review and approve budgetary requirements and facilitate budget preparation in alignment with strategic initiatives / objectives
- Contribute to the hiring and development of staff

Specification/Qualification
Educational Qualification
Minimum of a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related areas
Professional Qualification
Possession of the following certifications is recommended: ITIL, CGEIT, TOGAF, COBIT
Desired Experience
- 12 to 16 years of functional experience
- Minimum of 3 years of management experience
