Role Responsibilities

• The role is accountable for the development and delivery of Diageo’s public policy strategy, encompassing regulatory affairs and stakeholder relations.
• The geographic scope of the role covers several countries of interest in Diageo SWC Africa growth strategy in the West Central region
• Develop a regulatory affairs strategy that minimizes risks and increase opportunities for business growth Monitor and coordinate responses to business risks relating but not limited to excise tax/levies; marketing rights and licence to operate.
• Support innovation initiatives through facilitating new product registration, import permits and other relevant regulatory requirement Support SWC Africa growth through facilitating licence to operate in key markets and cities as per the southern Africa business strategy.
• Proactively develop Diageo’s reputation with key external stakeholders including Government, Regulators and Industry bodies.
• Lead in building and maintaining positive relations with priority stakeholders including through sponsorships Effectively manage relationships with external service providers to drive execution on key initiatives
