Head, Marketing and Communications at Alpha Mead Group

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness, generate leads and drive sales, as well as managing the organization’s brand to ensure consistency across all communication channels (internal and external) and overseeing all public relations efforts, including media relations and crisis management.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a cohesive brand communication strategy for the Alpha Mead Group and its various subsidiaries
• Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communications strategies to communicate the Alpha Mead Brand and its products, services and key messages to all stakeholder groups
• Work closely with heads of the various operating companies (OpCos) within the group to ensure all brand, marketing and digital strategies and plans are consistent and aligned in supporting the implementation of the Brand Strategy.
• Develop and drive key funding bids, working closely with the Head, Enterprise Management Systems, Finance and Operations teams, including the input of key brand, marketing and digital expertise.
• Manage and lead a team of marketing and communications professionals
• Support colleagues across the organisation to achieve their goals via the provision of effective marketing coordination and support, including use of external marketing agencies
• Oversee the creation and production of all marketing materials, including print and digital collateral, social media campaigns, and video content
• Manage media relations and work with external agencies to secure coverage in targeted publications and outlets
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry influencers
• Collaborate with the Human Resources department to develop and communicate the Alpha Mead Employee Value Proposition to key stakeholders especially Employees, prospective recruitment candidates and regulatory bodies
• Oversee budget and resource allocation for the marketing and communications team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in Marketing and Communications, with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role and a track record of success in leading teams
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders
• Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience in public relations, media relations, and social media management – using both new and traditional media approaches to achieve corporate communication objectives
• Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decision making
• Proven ability with budget creation, management and forecasting
• Strong understanding of digital marketing and experience with digital marketing tools
• Strong understanding and experience of branding and reputation management
• Experience with event planning and execution will be an added advantage
• Experience working with external agencies and media outlets.
• Data-driven and ability to interpret web analytics and scope out new, relevant measurements while up-to-date with the latest trends and marketing best practices
• Knowledge and awareness of legal, reputation, and web standards compliance issues
