Job Summary

• Responsible for leading and overseeing the Structured Investment Products’ Fund Account team to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in meeting internal and external client expectations, ensuring excellent delivery service.
• This role involves establishing robust processes and controls to ensure all portfolio and fund-related transactions are accurately captured on the portfolio management system and other relevant databases in a timely manner.
• Additionally, the role is accountable for driving process improvements and measuring productivity by developing and implementing relevant productivity metrics to consistently achieve high standards of client service.

Job Details

Team Management and Development

• Provide day-to-day guidance and support to Fund Account & Fund Administration staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, target setting, and career development.
• Establish and monitor productivity matrices to measure individual and team performance, proactively enhancing productivity and maintaining effective controls.

Transaction and Database Management

• Ensure daily review of entries and accurate, timely capture of all transactions.
• Supervise the automatic update of stock prices and other instruments in the Portfolio Management System, ensuring accuracy and timely integration of third-party data.

Portfolio Valuation and Reporting

• Supervise daily and weekly valuation processes for registered and unregistered structured investment products, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
• Oversee the preparation and delivery of periodic client portfolio reports, constantly improving turnaround times and accuracy.

Trade Reconciliation and Compliance

• Manage stock reconciliation to identify and address any misstatements in client portfolio positions, establishing a sustainable reconciliation framework.
• Monitor compliance with SLAs and collaborate with other business units to ensure up-to-date service standards.

Dividend and Money Movement Management

• Develop a monitoring process for dividends, from corporate action announcements to payment completion.
• Display accuracy in money movement, reconciliation, and reporting, aligned with established procedures within the Fund Admin unit.

Process Improvement and Control Measures

• Regularly review and enhance internal processes to improve efficiency, control, and accountability.
• Introduce control measures, including authorization, supervision, segregation of duties, and regular review to strengthen operational processes.

Requirements

Education: 

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; master’s or professional certifications (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CFA) preferred.

Experience: 

• 8+ years in fund accounting or financial services, with 3+ years in leadership roles managing teams and complex transactions.

Technical Skills: 

• Proficiency in fund accounting software (e.g., deluxe, Oracle), deep knowledge of fund valuation, GAAP/IFRS, and reconciliation processes.

Leadership: 

• Proven ability to lead and develop teams, set objectives, and drive efficiently.
