Our client, a fast-growing Finance House is seeking to fill the role of Head, Financial Services who will lead all aspects of responsible for designing and managing the implementation of the entire financial strategy and framework for the company. The ideal role holder will be responsible for all financial systems, procedures, processes and reports including the implementation of ERPs and development of effective automation and processes. The ideal candidate will also take full ownership of the finance function as well as interacting with all levels of the business operations.

Job Description:

• Lead the day-to-day financial operations of the firm
• Oversee tax preparation, auditing, banking, investments, and other financial responsibilities as necessary
• Track the firm’s financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement
• Evaluate and contribute to the improvement of the adequacy and effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes
• Manage relationships with appropriate parties such as regulatory bodies, auditors, et al.
• Provide useful insights and data-driven decision support to the senior executives to aid in decision making
• Establish forecasts regarding expenses and revenues and manage regular reporting requirements
• Stay up to date with technological advances and software to enhance financial purposes
• Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the firm.
• Take responsibility for the organisation’s adherence to financial regulations and legislation

Person Specification:

• 5 – 8 years cognate work experience in a similar role preferably in a Finance House
• Experience managing financial regulatory bodies including SEC & CBN is required.
• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines from any recognised institution
• An MBA will be an added advantage
• Membership of a relevant professional bodies is required
