    PRIMERO Transport Services Limited was launched on the 12th of November, 2015 by His Excellency Mr. Akinwumi 'Dapo Ambode, the Executive Governor of Lagos State at Majidun depot. Its full operation commenced on 13th November 2015. The operation commenced on our approved routes with 434 Youtong high-capacity buses. Major terminals are located at Ikorodu, Agric, and Mile12, BRT lane extension from Ikorodu to Mile12.

    Head, Business Support Group and Corporate Service

    Responsibilities

    • Coordinate the operations of the HR & Admin, Procurement/Vendor Management and IT Support, Security units, ensuring the seamless delivery of internal support to technical teams and harmonic collaboration to ensure maximum utilisation, efficiency, effectiveness and quality of service in Primero.
    • Review company-wide policies and procedures involving HR, Administration and related functions. Ensure procedures are efficient, understood and implemented company-wide.
    • Lead the development and implementation of HR management, Admin procurement and IT systems and technology.
    • Work with HR Manager and staff to identify emerging issues and needs; develop, implement and monitor strategies to address them.
    • Oversee organisation of corporate office, paperwork, supplies, equipment, cleanliness, procedures and daily operations.
    • Design and lead corporate strategic change initiatives across the organisation.
    • Ensure continued development and implementation of ICT strategy which support the strategic direction of the organisation
    • Ensure cost effective, best practice and sustainable ICT capability for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Supervise the management of the security architecture of the organization

    Practice Management

    • Develop and embed a culture of performance to ensure high quality and continuous improvement in service delivery across the whole company.
    • Develop, continuously improve and implement the organisations approach to business continuity.
    • Develop and enforce company’s policies and guidelines
    • Develop and implement Business Support Group strategy and plan to support the overall strategic goal, including the management of resources.
    • Develop and implement strategies to identify and manage talent, succession, organisational design and workforce planning.
    • Participate in the development and preparation of short-term and long-range strategic plans based on the organisation vision and objectives.
    • Monitor corporate services budget allocations, expenditures, fund balances and related financial activities for the purpose of ensuring that allocations are accurate, expenses are within budget limits and/or fiscal practices are followed.
    • Contribute to the development of company strategy and policies as part of the Senior Management Team; articulate and communicate the company’s strategy to team leads/department heads and support them to make effective decision.
    • Interface with other department heads on issues regarding corporate support in order to resolve such in a timely and effective manner.
    • Promote harmonious relations between department heads, internal staff, clients and subcontractors.
    • Provide timely and accurate advice to the Management and Board on all corporate support matters.
    • Provide periodic and ad-hoc activity and performance reports as required.
    • Stand as an image maker between the Management of the company and its stakeholders’ (internal and external).
    • Build and manage relationships with other relevant stakeholders including community leaders, regulatory bodies, government agencies etc, to ensure the best outcome for the company.
    • Lead and manage the activities of the units
    • Manage team performance; facilitate development; coach and supervise the team
