We are looking for enthusiastic and practical individuals to join our technical team as Greasers / Entry-Level Technicians. This position is specifically designed for recent National Diploma (ND) graduates in engineering disciplines who are looking to gain valuable hands-on industrial experience before pursuing further education like the Higher National Diploma (HND).
As a Greaser/Entry-Level Technician, you will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation and longevity of our machinery through proper lubrication and basic maintenance support.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine lubrication (greasing and oiling) of various machinery and equipment according to maintenance schedules and manufacturer specifications.
Inspect machinery to identify lubrication points and check for potential issues (e.g., leaks, wear).
Clean machine parts and surfaces prior to lubrication.
Assist senior maintenance staff with basic maintenance tasks, inspections, and minor repairs.
Monitor levels in lubrication systems and replenish as needed.
Maintain clear and accurate records of lubrication tasks performed.
Strictly follow all company safety protocols and procedures in the workshop/plant environment
Help keep tools, equipment, and the work area clean and organized.
Qualification
Must possess a National Diploma (ND) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
Candidates must not be currently enrolled in or planning to immediately pursue a Higher National Diploma (HND). This role is for individuals seeking practical work experience post-ND.
A basic understanding of mechanical or electrical principles is beneficial.
Strong attention to detail and meticulousness.
Ability to follow instructions accurately.
Reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
Willingness to learn practical skills and work hands-on.
Ability to work effectively within a team.
Good record-keeping and reporting skills, with the ability to provide clear daily, weekly, and monthly updates on work performed.
Must be physically capable of performing duties in an industrial setting
