Graphics Designer at Domeo Resources International (DRI)

Main Function

The Graphics Designer will create visual communications to convey messages in an effective and aesthetically pleasing manner. This incorporates several tasks and responsibilities such as design web pages, brochures, logos, signs, books, magazine covers, annual reports, advertisements, and other communication materials for the Group of Companies and assigned clients.

Role Responsibilities

• Create a wide range of graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos and websites with software such as photoshop for the Group of Companies and assigned clients
• Determine size and arrangement of copy and illustrative material as well as font style and size
• Prepare rough drafts of material based on an agreed brief
• Review final layouts and suggest improvements if required
• Work with assigned clients to take project briefs, advise on appropriate illustrations, design style, format, print production etc.
• Liaise with clients to determine their graphic design requirements and budget
• Manage client proposals from type setting through to design, print and production
• Ensure that the Group of Companies brand message is graphically consistent
• Plan graphic concepts by studying relevant materials
• Illustrate concepts by designing examples of art arrangement, size, type size and style
• Prepare finished art by operating necessary equipment and software
• Liaise with external printers to ensure deadlines are met and material is printed to the highest quality for the Group of Companies and assigned clients
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Proficiency in Photoshop, Corel draw and other design packages in creating content

Experience/Qualifications

• A degree in the Social Sciences or relevant field.
• Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in a similar role
