Role Summary:

As a General Surgeon at you will be responsible for performing surgical procedures to treat a wide range of medical conditions, including injuries, diseases, and deformities, utilizing advanced surgical techniques and technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Perform surgical procedures, such as appendectomies, cholecystectomies, hernia repairs, and tumor removals, with precision and efficiency.
• Evaluate patients’ medical histories and diagnostic tests to determine the need for surgery and develop treatment plans accordingly.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including anesthesiologists, nurses, and surgical technicians, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor patients’ post-operative progress and manage any complications that may arise.
• Educate patients and their families about surgical procedures, risks, and post-operative care instructions.
• Participate in on-call schedules and emergency surgical interventions as needed.

Requirements:

• Medical degree from a recognized institution, with specialization in general surgery.
• Valid medical license to practice as a general surgeon in Nigeria.
• Board certification or eligibility in general surgery.
• Proficiency in a wide range of surgical procedures and techniques.
• Excellent surgical skills and hand-eye coordination.
