    General Manager, Operations and Finance

    Job Summary

    A leading facility management and janitorial services company in Lagos is looking to hire a General Manager for its business operations.

    Reporting Line: The CEO and Board of Directors, he/she will oversee business operations, budgets and forecasts, risk management, financial reports as well as external relations with investors, regulators and tax offices.

    The successful candidate must have a proven track record in financial planning and reporting and will be responsible for providing effective and efficient financial guidance and direction to the business.

    Responsibilities

    • Business process and operations management
    • Will establish adequate operational planning and financial control systems
    • Develop and implement growth strategies for business operations
    • Create and manage budgets
    • Improve revenue-generation
    • Evaluate performance, productivity, direction and supervision of all Senior Managers
    • Analyze management reports and other financial data
    • Research, forecasting and identifying growth opportunities for the business
    • Directing strategy towards the profitable growth and operations of the company
    • Developing strategic operating plans that reflect the longer-term objectives and priorities established by the Board
    • Serves as a member of Executive Management in ensuring business decisions taken are grounded in sound financial criteria
    • Participates in key decision-making pertaining to strategic initiatives, operating model and operational execution
    • Represents the organization’s progress on strategic goals to external stakeholders

    Skills and Experience

    • MUST be a Chartered Accountant (ICAN/ACA/ACCA). Fellow of any of these bodies is an added advantage
    • At least 10 years’ broad experience in project finance, financial control, analysis and budgeting, management reporting, financial   planning, risk management, performance management and business operations
    • Experience working with a Board and Board sub-committees
    • Strong analytical skills, problem solving and decision making
    • Excellent planning, organization and time management
    • Exceptional levels of communication both written and verbal along with strong interpersonal skills
    • Ability to implement strategy and drive change
    • Experience relating with FIRS, LIRS, and other-related government agencies
    • Experience in cost control, budgeting, variance analysis, and demonstration of long-term strategic planning are essential
