General Manager (GM) – Piling & Deep Foundations at Lonadek

Key Responsibilities

• Multi-Site Operational Governance: Lead, coordinate, and oversee daily execution across all technical and piling project sites, ensuring flawless engineering delivery, strict quality control, and optimal resource utilisation.
• Strategic Business Alignment: Translate board-level objectives into robust operational milestones, protecting corporate project timelines and defending bottom-line profitability.
• Engineering Leadership & Mentorship: Build, inspire, and manage high-performing, cross-functional teams of project managers, site engineers, and technical personnel.
• Piling Project Lifecycle Control: Oversee deep foundation operations from geotechnical assessment interpretation through to piling execution, load testing, and client handover.
• Asset & Capacity Management: Drive optimal equipment and workforce utilisation, proactively mitigating supply chain delays, site downtime, and operational risks.
• Commercial Strategy: Lead stakeholder relationships, interface with institutional clients, and ensure near-zero variance on contract delivery.

Core Requirements

• Academic Bedrock: A Bachelor’s degree (B.Eng) in Civil Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline is compulsory.
• Professional Credentials: Active professional certification and registration with COREN (or equivalent recognised bodies such as NSE, ICE, or IStructE) are compulsory.
• Industry Tenure: A minimum of 15 – 20 years of progressive, demonstrable leadership experience within the civil engineering, construction, or heavy infrastructure sectors.
• Deep Specialisation: Proven, extensive track record in handling large-scale piling and deep foundation engineering projects within the Nigerian or regional African market.
• Autonomy & Decision-Making: Demonstrated capacity to run capital-intensive multi-site operations completely independently, resolving complex site disputes and engineering bottlenecks proactively.
• Commercial Acumen: Exceptional grasp of project finance, budget tracking, procurement discipline, and contract management.
