    Furniture Production Manager

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Estimate production costs and set production budgets
    • Manage production budgets and Implement cost control programs
    • Plan a production schedule for the job and ensure Implementation and control the production schedule
    • Review and adjust the schedule where needed
    • Ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination between relevant departments including procurement, distribution and management
    • Determine the human and material resources required
    • Manage human and material resources to meet production targets
    • Make decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modification and procurement when required
    • Work out and implement standard operating procedures for production operations
    • Ensure that standard operating procedures are adhered to
    • Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures
    • Set and Monitor product quality standards
    • Implement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives and timelines
    • Analyze production and quality control to detect and correct problems
    • Determine and implement improvements to the production process

    Required Skill/ Education:

    • OND/HND/Degree in woodworking, Architecture or any other related discipline
    • 3-4 years’ relevant experience in furniture manufacturing with project management skill is a must.
    • Knowledge of business, finance or management principles would be a plus
    • Knowledge of raw materials and quality systems and standards
    • knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance
    • knowledge of machines and tools would be an advantage
    • Ability to direct personnel towards maximum performance will set you apart as a leader
    • Decision-making and problem-solving will take up a great part of your day
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP software will be preferred
    • Prepare and maintain production reports
    • Monitor and review the performance of staff and organize necessary interventions for improvement
