Fundraising Volunteer at Peace Shapers

Position Overview:

• We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Fundraising Volunteer to join our team.
• The Fundraising Volunteer will support our efforts by assisting in the development and implementation of fundraising strategies to secure financial support for our programs and initiatives.
• This role is essential in helping us sustain our activities and expand our impact.

Commitment:

• Minimum of 15 hours per week

Duration:

• 6 months (with possibility of extension)

Please note this is an unpaid volunteer role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in researching and identifying potential donors, grants, and sponsorship opportunities.
• Support the creation and execution of fundraising campaigns and events.
• Help develop and maintain relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and foundations.
• Assist in preparing grant proposals, sponsorship packages, and donor reports.
• Contribute to the development of fundraising materials, including newsletters, social media posts, and other communications.
• Track and manage donor information and fundraising progress using our database.
• Collaborate with the team to brainstorm and implement innovative fundraising ideas.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in marketing, communications, nonprofit management, business, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with fundraising, event planning, or grant writing is a plus.
• Passion for peacebuilding, child protection, and social justice.
