    Fraud and Investigation Officer

    Job Overview:

    • We are seeking a highly analytical and proactive Fraud and Investigation Officer to join our team at Bluebulb Financials. This role focuses on identifying, investigating, and mitigating fraud risks within the digital assets and fintech ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have expertise in fraud detection, digital forensics, and risk management, with a strong understanding of the evolving fintech landscape.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Fraud Detection and Prevention:

    • Monitor and analyze transactions on digital asset platforms to detect irregularities or potential fraudulent activities.
    • Develop and implement fraud detection algorithms and rules tailored to the fintech space.

    Investigation and Reporting:

    • Conduct in-depth investigations into suspected fraudulent activities, particularly within digital wallets, blockchain transactions, and fintech applications.
    • Prepare detailed investigation reports and liaise with law enforcement or regulatory bodies when necessary.

    Risk Assessment:

    • Evaluate fraud risks associated with new fintech products and digital financial services.
    • Provide recommendations to mitigate identified risks and enhance system security.

    Policy Development:

    • Develop and enforce policies and procedures for fraud prevention and investigation, aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

    Collaboration:

    • Work closely with the compliance, risk management, and cybersecurity teams to address fraud-related challenges.
    • Collaborate with external stakeholders, including banks, exchanges, and regulators, to ensure seamless fraud management.

    Training and Awareness:

    • Conduct training sessions to educate internal teams on fraud trends, particularly in digital and fintech environments.
    • Promote awareness of emerging fraud schemes, such as phishing, social engineering, and crypto scams.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Criminology, or a related field.
    • 5+ years of experience in fraud investigation, preferably in fintech or digital asset management.
    • Strong knowledge of blockchain technology, cryptocurrency operations, and digital payment systems.
    • Proficiency in fraud detection tools and techniques, including data analytics and digital forensics.
    • Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements in the fintech and digital asset space.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Certification in Fraud Examination (CFE) or related qualifications.
    • Experience with AML and KYC processes in fintech.
    • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and fraud trends in the digital economy.
