    Food Production Manager

    Our client, who is a leading multichannel retailer and operators of the third largest supermarket chain brand in Nigeria, is looking to hire a Food Production Manager

    Reporting Line: Head of Food Production

    Supervises: All Supervisors and Associates in the Fast Food Unit

    Job objective

    • Responsible for ensuring the efficiency of the fast food business operations
    • Supervises the production of confectionaries, food and pastries across all Outlets

    Principal Duties / Responsibilities

    • Ensures that production materials are on hand and available at all times in all Outlets.
    • Oversee production cost and make and implement es recommendations on effective cost reduction strategies for the entire production unit.
    • Supervises the preparation of production raw materials in a manner that will guarantee sensible delivery of the freshest products.
    • Trains production unit team members in the areas of safety, job functions and general practices of food production.
    • Constantly observe and analyze creation and quality records to certify compliance with production policies and product specifications.
    • Ensure timely delivery of products across all stores
    • Manage production activities to ensure standard output
    • Oversee the process of ordering raw materials for production use
    • Draw up production schedule; monitor day to day operations to ensure production of quality items.
    • Takes full responsibility in ensuring that all products produced are wholesome, health and free from contaminations and safe
    • Report maintenance damages/ malfunctions to the administrative team as soon as discovered to avoid production downtime
    • Manage and develop production systems that increase productivity, quality, food safety and lower costs.

    Job Requirements

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Professional and tactful interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a variety of personalities.
    • Strong leadership and managerial and influence skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Good level of commercial awareness
    • Business Aptitude –ability to manage budgets, schedules and inventory

    Education

    • Bachelors degree in any business management related field required.
    • A certificate in a renowned culinary school will be an added advantage.

    Profile

    • 5-7 years Fast Food/ Restaurant experience or bakery factory experience with minimum of 2 years in a managerial position.
    • Experience in sales, marketing or operations in either Retail or FMCG, will be an added advantage.
    • Experience negotiating and forming strategic partnerships; vendor relationships and regulatory bodies preferred.
    • Proven people management skills particularly with team building and transformational leadership
