Fire Protection Engineer at Boleum Energy & Technology Limited

• The Fire Protection Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining fire protection systems across various facilities. Key responsibilities include conducting life safety and fire safety assessments, developing fire and gas philosophies, and facilitating the design of fire and gas detection systems. The engineer will analyze facility layouts to determine optimal detector placements based on factors such as gas dispersion patterns and potential fire hazards. 
• The role also involves designing fire detection and suppression systems, overseeing safety engineering projects, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The engineer will ensure all critical emergency response equipment is proactively maintained and ready for deployment. Collaboration with other engineering teams to uphold the highest safety standards is essential. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field 
• Proven experience in Fire Protection Engineering 
• Expertise in Life Safety and Fire Safety assessments 
• Proficiency in Fire Detection and Suppression Systems, as well as Safety Engineering 
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills 
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities 
• Ability to work on-site in Warri 
• NEBOSH Diploma or OSHA qualification is an added advantage (not compulsory) 
• Professional certifications in safety and fire protection are a plus 
• Knowledge of open-path gas detection and UV sensors is mandatory 
• Familiarity with FM-200 systems is required 
• Proficiency in fire and gas mapping software

• Requirements of Nigerian Local Authorities and regulatory bodies, including NUPRC and NMDPRA 
• Manufacturer’s design, installation, operation, and maintenance guidelines
