Job Summary

• As the Finance Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our operations. This includes financial reporting, budgeting, fund management, compliance, and strategic financial planning.
• The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in finance, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to lead a high-performing finance team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders and provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with department heads to develop and manage the annual budget and conduct regular forecasting to ensure financial goals are met and provide variance analysis and manage and monitor the financial health of investment funds, including tracking capital calls, distributions, and fund expenses.
• Oversee cash flow management, including monitoring liquidity needs and optimizing investment returns and develop and implement tax strategies for funds and portfolio companies.
• Lead and mentor a finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement and conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing professional development opportunities.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess HND / B.Sc Degrees in Finance, Accounting or any related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
• Prior experience in venture capital, private equity, or a similar financial services role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and in-depth knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulatory compliance
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management software.
• Familiarity with venture capital software and portfolio management tools.
