Financial Controller at Hyde Energy Limited

• Hyde Energy is seeking a commercially astute and results-driven Financial Controller to lead financial control, reporting and compliance, ensuring strong financial governance, effective cost management and reliable financial insights to support business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee financial reporting, accounting operations and preparation of accurate financial statements.
• Lead budgeting, financial forecasting, cash flow management and variance analysis.
• Monitor revenue, costs, margins and working capital to support profitability and sound financial decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations and statutory reporting requirements.
• Strengthen internal controls, financial risk management and governance processes.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
• Oversee tax planning, statutory remittances and financial compliance obligations.
• Provide management with financial analysis, insights and recommendations to support strategic and operational decisions.
• Drive improvements in financial processes, reporting accuracy and cost efficiency.
• Lead and develop the finance team, promoting accountability, accuracy and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA or an equivalent recognised accounting qualification.
• Minimum of 5–8 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, including substantial experience in financial control or a senior finance role.
• Relevant industry experience in FMCG or Oil & Gas is required.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, internal controls and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, cost management, cash flow monitoring and financial performance reporting.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, financial reporting tools and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, leadership, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
