Formulate, update, and implement Finance strategies, policies, and processes.
Managing Nigeria Compliance W. R.T, VAT, WHT, PAYEE, NSITF, CIT, ED Tax and so on.
Independently handling FIRS/LIRS assessments.
Plant experience and managing relevant controls (inventory, vendor mgt, banking controls and so on)
Provide strategic financial investment and leadership support, in line with the overall strategy.
Develop and utilize financial models and activity-based financial analysis to provide a basis for investment decisions and business planning.
Prepare the department’s annual budget and monitor implementation.
Support management in long term financial planning for the organization
Develop and manage key relationships with relevant external bodies / contacts e.g., regulatory organizations, external investors, solicitors, banks etc. to facilitate effective business finance operations.
Advise management on financial benefits or demerits of proposed projects, changes in financial regulations and legislations as well as changes in competition and market trends.
Raise funds and monitor all credit lines as approved by the Board, to finance the organization activities.
Develop and implement strategies for accessing and securing funds at cost effective rates.
Manage key banking relationships to facilitate proper, timely and cost-effective funding of business operations.
Liaise with relevant internal teams to ensure and advice as regards the adequacy of credit lines for procurement purposes
Ensure adequate controls are in place to facilitate seamless payment and efficient financial management.
Drive a cost-saving culture across all areas of the business.
Oversee the preparation of financial models for new products or new business lines and alliances; pricing of new and existing products in order to remain competitive and advice Management accordingly.
Monitor all third-party payments to ensure that such payments are accompanied by Work Completion Certificates completed and are in alignment with the approved budget.
Manage effective relationship with banks ensuring timely response to request/inquiries.
Oversee all activities of the treasury function Any other jobs as assigned.
Qualifications
A first degree in Finance / Accounting is required.
MBA or master's degree is an added advantage.
Relevant professional certification such as, ICAN/ACCA is required.
Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience,
5 of which must have been working with a multinational company in the FMCG.
