    Finance Manager

    Our client, one of Nigeria's fastest-growing real estate service providers, is looking to hire ten Finance Manager.

    Location: Lekki Lagos

    Accountable For:

    1. Overseeing the financial transactions
    2. Geographic Scope: Within areas covered by project; when required by meetings with, or in support of, clients & projects.

    Job Brief:

    The Finance Manager will be responsible for company and its subsidiaries accounts and the management and monitoring of all financial activity, including financial analysis. The Finance
    Manager will also oversee the management of project income, expenditure, and sub-contractor distributions.
    He/She will manage and develop relationships with financial institutions and regulatory entities.

    Job Duties & Responsibilities:

    Responsibilities include (but is not limited to):

    1. Assist to set performance objectives and assess and evaluate the financial performance of the organization with respect to organizational goals, budgets and forecasts, and provide analysis as required.
    2. Lead the Finance team to deliver timely, high quality finance support across the organization.
    3. Liaise with external Auditors for annual financial audits and preparation of statutory financial statements.
    4. Ensure all statutory tax provisions and deductions (PAYE/VAT/WHT/Corporate tax) are reconciled and filed in a timely manner.
    5. Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization operations and projects.
    6. Perform risk management by analysing the organization liabilities and investments.
    7. Develop robust financial policy and procedures and ensure the application of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.
    8. Oversee and maintain good working relationships with regulatory agencies and financial institutions to ensure adequate funding for the organisational objectives
    9. Prepare and present quarterly financial statements to the Management team.
    10. Provide standard accounting reports, including general ledger files, account, and bank reconciliations, as well as other financial information in a timely and accurate manner.
    11. Manage the annual closing of accounts, year-end audit process and preparation of the statutory financial statements for the group including managing the relationship with external auditors.
    12. Oversee the finance team by ensuring their alignment with assigned roles and responsibilities and establishing accountability via coaching/mentoring.
    13. Periodically review existing finance team tools and processes to ensure team efficiency
    14. Ensure the entrenchment of policies, processes and procedures aimed at delivering all objectives.
    15. Oversee and manage payment processes related to procurement.
    16. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor.

    2. Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures

    4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    5. Advanced MS Excel skills
    6. Knowledge of financial regulations

    REQUIREMENTS

    1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance or related discipline
    2. Professional finance certification e.g., ACCA, ICAN, CFA
    3. At least 7 years’ progressive experience in accounting or finance, which must include supervisory experience.
    4. Hands-on knowledge and experience of accounting software.
    5. Knowledge of relevant IFRS accounting standards
    6. Experience working and dealing with the account of a growing company
