    Finance and Credit Officer

    Role Summary:

    • This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth financial operations of our firm, safeguarding our assets, and maximizing return on investments.
    • You will be responsible for managing accounts receivable, credit control, and financial reporting, while upholding our commitment to social responsibility and financial inclusion.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage customer accounts and ensure timely payments of loans and other dues.
    • Issue invoices and statements accurately and efficiently.
    • Monitor overdue accounts and initiate collection efforts, following ethical and respectful procedures.
    • Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
    • Assess the creditworthiness of loan applicants using financial analysis and risk assessment tools.
    • Set appropriate credit limits and monitor customer creditworthiness.
    • Develop and implement effective credit control policies and procedures. Collaborate with loan officers to ensure adherence to credit policies.
    • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
    • Analyze financial data and identify trends or potential risks.
    • Provide financial information and insights to management for decision- making.
    • Maintain accurate and complete financial records.
    • Comply with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of internal control procedures.
    • Participate in special projects as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Must have registered as a student with ICAN/ACCA.
    • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the financial sector.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers.
    • Proficient in financial accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Familiarity with relevant financial regulations and reporting standards.
    • Strong commitment to ethical and responsible banking practices.
