Finance and Control Officer at Custom Gifts & Designs

Job Description

• The Finance & Control Officer is responsible for managing, monitoring, and controlling all financial activities of the company.
• This role ensures accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, compliance with company policies, and financial integrity across all departments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all financial records and transactions of the company
• Ensure accurate recording of sales, expenses, and operational costs
• Review, validate, and reconcile daily sales reports submitted by Cashiers
• Monitor and enforce internal control systems to prevent fraud, errors, or financial leakages
• Prepare financial and management reports for review and decision-making
• Reconcile accounts, invoices, and payment records on a regular basis
• Ensure full compliance with company financial policies and procedures
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives
• Work closely with the Cashier, HR/Admin, and Management teams
• Maintain strict confidentiality and integrity of all financial information

Educational Qualification

• Strictly BSc or HND in Accounting or a related discipline.

Experience:

• Must have 2–5 years relevant experience in finance, accounting, or control functions
• Experience in internal control, audit, or retail/operations finance is an added advantage

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial controls
• High analytical and numerical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to detect discrepancies and financial risks
• Strong reporting and documentation skills
• Integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism
• Proficiency in spreadsheets, ERP systems, and basic accounting tools
