Finance and Account Manager at Greenland Concepts Nigeria Limited (GCNL)

Job Description

• We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance with all accounting practices.
• This role requires a strategic thinker who can work collaboratively across departments to drive financial performance and support the company’s objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts for the management team.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
• Manage the company’s treasury by implementing best working capital and investment strategies.
• Develop and implement effective internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors as needed.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decision-making.
• Manage and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
• Work closely with other departments to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional certification such as ACCA or ICAN is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
• Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in the real estate sector is an added advantage.
