Finance Analyst at Max.ng

• The Finance Analyst will be responsible for analysing financial data, preparing financial reports, monitoring business performance, and providing insights that support strategic and operational decision-making.
• The role involves budgeting and forecasting, financial modelling, variance analysis, cash-flow monitoring, and identifying trends and opportunities to improve financial performance.
• The ideal candidate should have strong analytical and numerical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights for management and other stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

• Analyze financial data, business performance, and key financial metrics.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management dashboards.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Conduct variance analysis against budgets, forecasts, and previous periods
• Develop and maintain financial models to support business decisions.
• Monitor revenue, expenses, cash flow, and profitability.
• Identify financial trends, risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost optimization.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to management and business teams.
• Support business cases, investment analysis, and strategic initiatives.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and reports.

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in a large volume accounts payable team.
• ACA or ACCA
• Sage 300 experience or comparable finance system.
• Experience with complex Accounts Payable issues.
• Computer skills with proficiency in MS Excel.
• Excellent Financial reporting skills.
